Dildo
If there are rumours about the invention of the first vibrator, it's proved that dildos are much older and a real thing. Dildos are different from vibrators mainly because they do not vibrate. The oldest dildo is 30.000 years old, has been discovered in Germany, Ulm, and it's 20cm long made of stone. Modern dildos can be made of different materials, from the "old" stone, to wood, glass or ceramic (after special treatment), aluminium, silicon and precious metals. Dildos can be used for vaginal or anal penetration. This toy has a long story and has been used since ages; we see dildos in roman/greek vases or asian art works, there is a whole poetry by John Wilmont dedicated to a dildo "Signor Dildo" and even the big poet, Shakespeare, talks about dildos in "The Winter's Tale". Within the family of curved dildos there are some models, with bigger rounded head, which are ideal for G Spot play. Dildos can also be curved in a "C" shape for better handling or made of multiple sphere (used also for anal play). Asymmetric models are also good for stimulation play. Classic dildos are the simplest ones, curved and smooth. Mostly made of silicon, ideal for beginners! Read our guide to dildo here.
