- description -
Femidom FC2 is a female lubricated condom that provides dual protection and it's effective in preventing pregnancies and STIs. It's inserted inside the vagina before the intercourse and it's as effective as a male condom. The WHO and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) encourage the use of a female condom, in order to respond to the need of women and men regarding sexual and reproductive health.
FC2 is hormone-free, latex-free, well lubricated and source of pleasure for both partners. It's the only FDA approved female condom for market and it also prevents the sexual transmission of Zika virus.
Femidom is a strong, soft, trasparent and disposable condom, 17 centimetres long (about 6.5 inches - the same as a male condom) with a flexible ring at each end. One end is inserted inside the vagina and the other one stays outside and protects the outer skin. Please see "How to Use" below.

- how to use -
Open the package with your hands (avoid using your teeth or anything else that can damage the condom). Fold the inner ring and push it up inside with your finger (insert it as you would do with a tampon or a menstrual cup). The inner ring rests against the cervix to keep FC2 in place. If you are not certain if it is far enough, most often FC2 will be pushed all the way into place with penetration. If you feel discomfort, take it out and try again. The outer ring rests against the outer skin to form another level of protection, possibly covering part of the vulva. It should keep the same position during the intercourse. For removal, twist before removing. At the end of the intercourse, pull out FC2, check if it's not broken, tie it with a knot and throw it away in the mixed waste.
